I've always been a curious person!
This means that I am always looking for new things to stimulate my natural imagination and what better way than to travel beyond one's own borders.I have always thought of travel as an opportunity to grow and to take notes that would help me to improve in my country.

And it was about 10 years ago, on my first trip to the Netherlands, where I became fascinated with how developed the Dutch concept of sustainable mobility is.
Getting around by bicycle every day, doing chores like shopping or taking the children to school, with no concern for adverse weather conditions!
Northern Europe has certainly taken Sir Baden Powell's motto to heart: “There is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing!”

At around the same time, fascinated as I was with the elegant early twentieth century, I learned about the Tweed Run, and this coincided with my determination to use the bicycle as my everyday means of transport.
Years later, in the distant 2013, I decided to organize my very own Dressy Ride here in Bergamo since it was a little complicated to take friends and bikes to London.

On Sunday 29 September, we will hold the seventh edition of our local version and our intent remains to have fun while spending a carefree Sunday in the saddle together, of course, but also trying to encourage other local Bergamo residents to use their bikes more often

You don't necessarily need to have more bike lanes to ride in a city like ours. If more people used their bikes (and perhaps a few more neighbourhoods became pedestrian), we would barely have to worry about traffic.

Any pedal vehicle can be entered as long as it does not have an engine, but sticking to the fancy-dress theme is a must. Unlike the more famous British version, tweed is not essential: take inspiration from the thirties or forties... and you might want trousers tucked into knickerbockers, suspenders and a fake moustache to really look the part.
